Privacy policy

Who we are

Seekuro is a classifieds service where people seek, find and offer goods, services, housing and jobs. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use seekuro.vercel.app or seekuro.com (the "Service") and what rights you have. What we collect

• Account data. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.
• Listing data. The title, description, price, category, location, images and contact details you choose to publish. Published listings are public by design.
• Verification data. If you post without an account, the email address you give us and the one time code we send to it.
• Messages. When you contact an advertiser through the Service we store your message, your email address and the recipient so it can be delivered and abuse can be investigated.
• Location. Only if you allow it in your browser. We use it to show listings near you and do not store a precise location history.
• Technical data. IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps in server logs, used for security and to keep the Service running.

Why we use it

• To publish and show listings and to let people contact advertisers (performance of a contract).
• To understand free text searches and listing descriptions with automated language models, so results match what you asked for (legitimate interest).
• To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to enforce posting limits (legitimate interest).
• To send transactional emails such as verification codes and listing removal links (performance of a contract).
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data and we do not show third party advertising based on your data.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase (database and file storage, hosted in the European Union, Ireland).
• Vercel (hosting and content delivery).
• Google (sign in with Google, maps, and Gemini language models that process search queries and listing text).
• Resend (transactional email delivery).

Each provider acts under a data processing agreement and may only use the data to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

• Listings stay public until you remove them or they expire. Removed listings are deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
• Verification codes expire within minutes and are deleted after use.
• Contact messages are kept for 12 months for abuse handling, then deleted.
• Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
• Account data is deleted when you ask us to delete your account.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw location permission in your browser at any time. Write to hello@seekuro.com and we will answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign in sessions and to remember your language. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes are announced on the Service.
